Blue Angels (January 2009)
Middle East (December 2010)
Blue Angels
On Thursday, January 8, 2009, Brad was afforded the opportunity to take a celebrity joy ride with the world-famous Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron.
He made the trip to El Centro, CA, the winter training home of the Blue Angels. After receiving a tour of the base and taking time to meet almost all of the nearly 150 members of the support staff, Brad sat down for a classroom session that would prepare him for the most exhilarating ride of his life.
The 45-minute ride included a series of high-intensity combat maneuvers that sent him to the verge of blackout. However, he proudly states that he didn’t pass out or vomit -- a feat that most celebrity passengers can’t honestly admit to accomplishing.
Brad is still and always will be extremely grateful to the Blue Angels for an amazing ride and the experience of a lifetime (article).

Middle East
In December, 2010, Brad was fortunate enough to be selected by Armed Forces Entertainment to go as a celebrity on an incredible trip overseas to visit our troops.
Brad joined up with Devon Harris, currently a motivational speaker and, formerly, a driver for the original Jamaican bobsled team. The two headed off to the Middle East, visiting Camp Lemonnier, a marine base in Djibouti, Africa. During their 36 hours on land, the invited guests were given a base tour and a tour of the surrounding city, played in a celebrity softball game (Brad was selected MVP of the game, going 4-for-4 with 2 HR!), and offered motivational words of encouragement to a large number of troops in attendance.
The next morning, the tour group headed out to sea, boarding the LH-3 USS Kearsarge in the Gulf of Aden. After meeting the ship’s captain and highest-ranking officers, the group settled in for a 3-day, 2-night stay about the ship. Activities included a full tour of the 11-deck ship, dinner in the captain’s quarters, viewing of a complete supply replenishment, and additional motivational speeches to the naval and marine shipmates.
It was an amazing experience and opportunity for him. He is considering future endeavors like this one to continue to show support of our troops..
